The Soaring Dusk saga

Okay- I mentioned it before, and here it is. The soap opera that is, for lack of a better name, the Soaring Dusk saga.
It starts with Soaring Dusk and Zacharyas. Their angsty little son, Falling Dawn, had abandonment issues from his surly mother, even though Zach was a loving father. Instead, Dawn turned to Sorlaa for comfort, as everyone does. Sorlaa made sure he grew up to be a well-adjusted dragon, though he still didn't talk to Dusk. Eventually, Dawn fell in love with Cyrra and was overjoyed when she showed him the egg that he'd sired. Sadly, Namli was a devious hatchling at this point, and decided that there was too much hate in Mesconna's pack (to which Mesconna responded "You can't have one without the other."). And so, Namli ran off with Dawn and Cyrra's child, as well as an egg from the cave. This left Cyrra devastaded and Dusk relapsing into his angsty state. Namli gave himself the title "The Enlightened", and named his new wife "Dreamcatcher the Saved". Dreamcatcher had no knowledge of her heartbroken parents, and unwittingly gave Namli a child, whom Namli named Aina the Pure. One day when Aina was out on a hunting trip, she met Mesconna, Krusonnel, and Veyorri taking young Kistaar out. When Aina saw how nurturing they were of the poor misunderstood vampire, she thought of how callous Namli had acted towards dragons like that, his excuse being that they were crude and uncivilised. She mulled over the hipocisy and decided to find out more about these mysterious dragons. By this point she was fully grown, and was horrified when she found out what Namli had done to her parents. Without so much as a goodbye to her forced family, she defected to Mesconna's pack and gave herself a new name in honor of the fateful moment she'd seen their hunting party: Searing Equinox.

Unfortunately, wounds don't heal overnight; it took a long stint with Satchell and a strangely wise son to break the ice. Renec, S.E's child, talked to each of his troubled family members seperately, subtly working their problems out until even Dusk realized her own fault in the problem. Any gap that might have been left over fizzled out of existence when Renec made his lineage part of the official family tree by siring Satchell's granddaughter Symfiliosa.

And that's how you make a soap opera with dragons!

Groups

Hey all! If you're reading this, you've obviously found my Dragon Cave account and deemed it interesting enough to take a look. As a reward, here's a detailed description of the different groups on my account!

Mesconna's Pack
This is the majority of my dragons, headed by the fiery Mesconna. Since this is the largest, I'll spare you from the entire list and simply say that on my page it's every dragon from Symfiliosa down. Most of these are in chronological order, but a couple are close together based on pairs/best friends. Within this group is the Soaring Dusk saga, which I'll post next. Moving on, next on the list:
Brenico's Pod
Morstan and Brenico were originally from Mesconna's pack, but Brenico couldn't move on land and Morstan was about as agile as a blue footed booby. (Look it up, they're really cute.) Because of this, they started their own little sub-pack in a nearby inlet, attracting Levviathon from the depths, Shivvr from the surface, and Seracuse from far off lands. Most recently, Shivvr's daughter Raey joined their ranks, and there's a little Deep Sea dragon in their nursery as well. The Pod is closely attached to the Pack, and they'll often meet halfway on the beach. Next up is:
Namli's Cult
Namli is the root of the Soaring Dusk trouble; he kidnapped a couple eggs and started his own pack, defying Mesconna and turning his snubby little nose up at her admittedly angsty family. Once again, look to the next post for info. And finally, we have:
Wanderers
They aren't really a collective pack, for the most part. First there's Satchell and S.E; Satchell is Mesconna's godfather, and a nomad. He stopped by fairly recently and took off with S.E. (who fell in love with him) and a few eggs to raise. After these eggs grew up, Satchell visited the Pack once again to get them back in touch with their real parents. One of these eggs was Jemme, who returned to a loving family and an eventual daughter, Raey. The other was Weirr, who is the next wanderer. Weirr is an explorer, marking down the farthest reaches of the world on a magical map.

Unofficially, there's also the Bright Lights choir, which isn't a pack but more of a commune. They sometimes host concerts on the beach or near Mesconna's cave, or they simply fly along singing. Anyone is free to join in, but usually the group consists of Flashing Skies, Symfiliosa, Anagennisi, Renec, Raey, and Kistaar. They are lead by Pachna.

In progress...
There's currently another group in progress, called Unit 5. I won't spoil it yet until it's all finished, but Artemina's in it.

Well, that's everyone! Stick around for the Soaring Dusk saga, I spent ages working on it...
